Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June 2015
2pm – 6pm
The Parish of Melbury Abbas and Cann covers four and a half miles from East to West and is divided into East Melbury, Cann Common, West Melbury and Guys Marsh. Melbury Abbas is a charming village at the foot of Spreadeagle Hill, a few miles south of the ancient Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The villagers are delighted to be hosting an Open Gardens event this summer – thirteen gardens, with a wide variety of landscaping and planting will be open.
Tickets are £5 for adults (children under 12 free) and are available from Melbury Abbas and Cann Village Hall, SP7 0DB from 2pm each afternoon. They will be in the form of a map with numbered gardens and a description and location of each. For those who do not have chance to see everything on one day, your stamped ticket will give you entry into the gardens on the following day.
Weary from walking? Pop back to our village hall for some tea and cakes or to pick up some locally grown plants which will be on sale.
All proceeds are to be shared between the Church and village hall.
Please – no dogs in the gardens
